McDonald County School District families and friends...
This week, several schools around the area have been impacted by an increasing number of hoax reports of active shooter incidents.
We want to assure everyone that we are aware of the incidents and we take all threats seriously until proven otherwise.
If we receive such a threat, our plans include rapid communication of accurate information.
We will use our school’s mass notification system to send out updates via phone and text messages to parents and staff along with posting to our district’s social media pages and our website at www.mcdonaldr1.net.
The McDonald County School District will always remain vigilant regardless of false reports, and will also pursue any potential prosecution regarding those who seek to disrupt school by making a false threat.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

🎉🎓🚌 It's back to class for McDonald County Schools! 🚌🎓🎉

📣🌸🌞🎉 HAPPY SPRING BREAK! 🎉🌞🌸📣
Just a quick reminder that McDonald County Schools are out for Spring Break from March 20-24!

We’ll see you back in class on Monday, March 27! 📚👨🏫👩🏫 🌸🌞🎉

🥧 Happy Pi Day and Einstein's Birthday! 🎉
💫 Did you know that Mrs. Scates' Jr. High Math class at Pineville Elementary celebrated this special day with moon pies 🌙, oatmeal cream pies 🍪, Pi-rate hats and eye patches ☠️, and even created amazing cityscapes using the first 25 digits of pi! 🏙️🤓 🏴☠️🧢🌃🏙️
🧐 But what is Pi and why do we celebrate it? Pi is the mathematical constant representing the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, which is approximately 3.14159. Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) every year because the first three digits of pi are 3.14 and to honor this mathematical concept and the achievements of Albert Einstein, who was born on the same day. 🎂🎁🎈
Pi Day is a fun way to celebrate the beauty of math and science and to recognize the important role they play in our lives. 🧮 🔢
📚 We are thrilled to see our students engaging in fun and creative activities while also learning about important mathematical concepts. Keep up the great work, Mrs. Scates' class! 👍 🥳🥧🌌📐 🍪🍰📚🎓

📣 Happy #MotivationalMonday everyone!
🔥 Let's start the week with this inspiring reminder from William Butler Yeats: "Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." 🔥
We hope this quote inspires you to approach your learning with a passion and curiosity that ignites a lifelong love for education. 💕📚
🤔 Remember, every day is an opportunity to learn and grow, so let's make the most of it! 🌟
