Talk about some big money…well actually a big check!
Members of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals team from Freeman Health System were at McDonald County High School for a check presentation. Students in the National Honor Society raised $1,100 for CMN by hosting a color fun run called Nora’s Run. It’s in honor of Nora Beachner, the daughter of school counselor Joseph Beachner. Nora is a CMN Ambassador who has a rare condition that requires constant medical treatment. The money will go to help CMN give assistance to families all across the area. Just another way our students are going above and beyond to make a difference in every child, every day, whatever it takes! #everydayMCS #CMNH #FreemanHealthSystem #NorasRun

A familiar face and a newcomer are taking their places at the McDonald County Schools Board of Education table. Incumbent Frank Woods and newly elected member Bob Campbell were sworn in at last week’s School Board meeting. Woods is serving in his 15th year as a school board member. Campbell will be serving his first term. Both were elected earlier this month from a field of five people running for the two open seats. They will serve a 3-year term on the board. Thanks to both men for wanting to serve McDonald County Schools and make a difference in every child, every day, whatever it takes!
