The McDonald County R-1 School District’s official calendar for the 2025-2026 academic year is now in effect as of July 1.
This year’s calendar includes 150 student days and continues the district’s four-day school week schedule. The first day of school for students is set for Tuesday, August 19, 2025.

Thanksgiving Break – November 26–28
Christmas Break – December 22– January 2
Spring Break – March 16–20
Last Day for Students – May 21, 2026
Last Day for Teachers – May 22, 2026
The calendar also outlines scheduled professional development days, holidays, and breaks, as well as the potential make-up days for inclement weather.
