Stephens bus driver of the month

McDonald County Schools is recognizing Brenda Stephens as the September Bus Driver of the Month for her outstanding dedication to students and her commitment to safely getting them to and from school each day.

Brenda was surprised Thursday morning at the district’s Transportation Department after completing her route. District leaders presented her with a framed copy of her award and a gift card in recognition of her service.

Noel Elementary Principal Toby Conrad nominated Brenda for the honor, pointing to the demanding nature of her route and her consistently positive approach.

“Each morning and afternoon, she makes three trips, transporting as many students as can safely fit on each run,” Conrad said. “Her routes are consistently long and challenging, yet Brenda approaches every day with an upbeat, positive attitude.”

Conrad also praised Brenda for her flexibility and willingness to adjust when circumstances change.

“She has consistently been willing to adjust, accommodate changes, and do whatever is needed to help ensure our students get to and from school safely and efficiently,” Conrad said.

Even when faced with the challenges of one of the district’s longest and most demanding routes, Brenda remains dependable, patient, and committed to serving students.

“She is someone her coworkers and administrators can count on,” Conrad said. “She consistently demonstrates the professionalism and dedication we value in our transportation staff.”

Brenda’s reliability, flexibility, and willingness to go above and beyond have made her a valued member of the McDonald County Schools transportation team.

McDonald County Schools congratulates Brenda Stephens on being named September Bus Driver of the Month and thanks her for the positive attitude, dedication, and care she brings to her work every day.
