The McDonald County R-1 School District is grateful for the community support to construct three FEMA-rated safe room shelters through out the school district. The shelters have been constructed on the campuses of the McDonald County High School, the Pineville Elementary School and the Southwest City Elementary School. These shelters will be open for public use when the National Weather Service issues a Tornado Warning regardless of the time of day.
