Prerequisite: Completion of Algebra II and an ACT Math score of 23 or higher or, make an acceptable score on the College / University Math Placement Test (This will be a weighted course of study.) Teacher’s Signature Required.
This course is designed as a broad comprehensive overview of college algebra. Emphasis is placed on reasoning and problem solving. Contents include the study of linear and quadratic equations; inequalities and their applications; polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions; and systems of equations. This class may also be taken for high school credit only; however all students must take the comprehensive two-hour final administered my Missouri State University.
